New Visual Narrative! Berlin Story: Time, Memory, Place in Cleaver Magazine
I was excited to go to Berlin for the Pathographics Conference and exhibit but I also had ulterior motives. I wanted to go the the Wannsee Villa on the edge of the Great Lake Wannsee where the Final Solution was presented to Nazi officials over a nice lunch.
I wanted to walk the rooms and see the house and grounds where this group of men,
nearly 80 years ago, blithely decided who would live and who would die. I drew up the rooms and the exterior views of the house and the graceful gardens and grounds, juxtaposing them with the words of what happened there.
